I am a a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in individual, couples, group, and family therapy and have maintained a private practice for 20 years.
I have over 30 years experience working as a social worker providing counseling and support to children, adolescents, and their parents in school, mental health, and clinical settings. I co-developed a reputable special program for school aged students formerly known as the REACH (Reaching for Educational and Counseling Harmony) Program. Additionally, I was a School Social Worker for Northwest Regional Education Service District in an alternative middle school/high school program for special education students. There I provided counseling for students as well as consultation to parents and teachers.
In school and private practice settings, I have refined my problem solving skills working with more challenging elementary and high school special education students and their parents. I have developed many successful behavioral interventions and develop relationships with children, adolescents, and parents easily. Because I have a strong social work background, I communicate effectively with support systems including parents, teachers, and itinerant service providers, recognizing that it often takes a community or team to resolve problems.
Now working solely as a private practitioner, I utilize these specialized skills as well as solution focused therapy with individuals, couples, and families. I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist who provides support and practical feedback effectively addressing personal life challenges. I integrate methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and obtain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
